About Dr. Torri D. Barber

DR. TORRI D. BARBER resides with his wife and four children in Columbia, South Carolina. He started teaching in 2007 at Great Falls High School in South Carolina. As an educator, he never allowed his students to show any signs of weakness and always pushed them to excel in academics and extracurricular activities. He had high expectations for his students and believed they could do well. He led with the same principles as a coach, and several of his students became professional athletes, successful entrepreneurs, engineers, lawyers, educators, nurses, entertainers, and more.

Dr. Torri D. Barber is the founder and owner of Bowtie, LLC. He started his leadership journey as an assistant principal in 2015 and has since held various administrative positions, including school principal, alternative school director, and virtual school director. As an administrator, Dr. Barber has received training in restorative practices, instructional frameworks, data analysis, and social, emotional, and physical learning to better support and embrace students. 

Dr. Barber is a proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. His personal motto is "Be Great Today But Be Even Greater Tomorrow, Level Up Daily!"
